Hammer and discus throwing cage refurbishment

Throwing Cage Refurbishment

Replacement of main throwing cage net, both gate nets, all lifting cables, lower rope lines, welding to repair gate hinge, new wheels, new gate shoot bolts.

AMD Sport Services carried out a comprehensive refurbishment of an athletics throwing cage to restore safe operation and extend the service life of the installation.

The works included the removal and replacement of the main throwing cage net, together with replacement of both gate nets. All lifting cables were renewed to ensure the cage could be operated safely and reliably, while new lower rope lines were installed throughout the system.

As part of the structural repairs, welding works were undertaken to repair a damaged gate hinge assembly, restoring the integrity and functionality of the gate mechanism. The gate system was further upgraded with the installation of new support wheels and replacement shoot bolts to ensure smooth operation and secure positioning during use.

Upon completion, the throwing cage was fully operational, providing a safe and compliant facility for athletics training and competition use.
